Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Aboriginal Health Practitioner (AHP). This role will work closely with the clinical team in the delivery of primary health care. This position will be based at the Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service (CAHS) NSW.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners play a vital role in the primary health workforce. They provide clinical and primary health care for individuals, families and community groups. They deal with patients, clients and visitors to hospitals and health clinics. They also assist in arranging, coordinating and providing health care within the Coonamble community. The Aboriginal Health Practitioner will undergo continuous training to fulfil this role.
