About us
The Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service Dental Clinic commenced under the umbrella of CAHS in April 2012. CAHS identified the need for continuing Dental services in our community and surrounding areas and so the CAHS Dental program began. In its infant stages CAHS Dental Clinic staff also identified the need for transport assistance which is organised by the Dental staff when scheduling appointments.
We are a family focused community clinic boasting two surgeries providing first class patient care to both public and private patients. The dental program employs two full time local staff members which include a Practice Manager, Senior Dental Assistant plus a School Based Trainee Receptionist/Dental Assistant.
In August 2019 we welcomed Dr Peter Borbiro as our new resident Dentist who provides all areas of general dental treatment.
Dr Mark LoSchiavo is our visiting Specialist Prosthodontist who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of dentistry to our clinic. Dr LoSchiavo juggles his week between teaching at Charles Sturt University and working at the Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service Dental Clinic.
The clinic operates five days per week from 8am – 4.30pm and provides all areas of general dental treatment as well as fixed and removable appliances.
We currently treat up to twenty five patients per day between two dentists and this number includes children and adults of all ages and backgrounds.
For more information about the services call 02 68220044 to speak to our friendly and helpful staff.
