The Baradine Surgery commenced under the umbrella of CAHS in January 2016 after the permanent General Practitioner at the time decided to return to his family in their hometown of Toowoomba. The Baradine Aged Care Association approached the Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service for help in attracting a GP to town at a difficult time when there was a shortage of GP’s in Rural Areas. CAHS willingly took over the running of the Baradine Surgery. The committee and town are extremely grateful to CAHS for providing the service to Baradine.
After having Locums for 12 months, in January 2017 we welcomed Dr Martin Hua as our new permanent GP.
We at the Baradine Surgery are committed to providing a better healthcare service to the community.
As well as routine consultations, the Baradine Surgery provides a range of services including Pathology, Family Planning, Woman’s Health, Pregnancy Tests, ECG’s, Heart Checks, Care Plans, Health Assessments, Child and Travel Vaccinations, Minor Surgery such as R/O Moles/Skin Cancers and Home Visits.

The following services are provided at these Health Checks:
These have proven to be beneficial to all who participate in this program as the Schools are sent a report and the Parents/Carer’s are sent a letter if their child requires any follow up appointments that arise from the Health Checks.
